superstitious nonsense, that makes her blissfully quiet.

tank-top and black pants. "Who in the hell makes a base with nowhere to
target practice at?"

[21:20] * Charlie idly comments "ATC doesn't make firing ranges long
enough for me anyway."
[21:24] * Chako chuckles, "Yeah. There's something about devoting a mile
or ten to a firing range that just turns people off."
[21:24] * Charlie gets up. "Nothin' to watch, nothin' to do.." He heads
over to the drink machine.
[21:24] <Chamelaeon> <<The TV starts a program about the new
terraforming procedures for Mars! Shame the program's ten years old.>>

[21:25] * Illyana yawns. "It iz very boring, yes."

in an exosuit walks in, helmet under her arm. She's tall, and pale, and
has two swords crossed on her back.>>

[21:31] * Tim tries not to display the expression of disgust brought on
by the former cola while looking at the lady. Could be misunderstood.
[21:31] * Illyana turns her wheelchair to the side so she doesn't have
to strain her neck trying to look behind her.

her rank badge as a Lieutenant Colonel.>>
[21:32] * Isis opens both eyes but doesn't move otherwise.

something approaching attentiveness.

returning soon as he can to listen to whatver the LC has to say.

ripped it up on Europa. Or wherever you ended up."

Masterson. Was missing, presumed dead. Turned up four hours ago on a
chemical skimmer launch station on Venus. News came through on HPTS, so
I guess someone thought it was important."

[21:49] * Chako frowns to herself.
[21:50] <Chamelaeon> "He was unarmed, unsuited, and babbling like a
crazy man. Something about a "great threat", says the report. The
chemskim station's owned by EliChem, and they've never had dealings with
Hippies, so far as Intel knows."
[21:50] * Tim frowns some more.
[21:51] * Charlie ponders to himself.
[21:51] * Chako says, "Christ. They're giving him back to us then?"
[21:52] <Chamelaeon> "Fuck no. He's been committed."
[21:52] <Isis> Why would we 'want' him?
[21:54] * Chako snorts. "Poor sod, then. Wonder what got to 'im."
[21:54] * Charlie mumbles "great threat.." and glances down, vaguely
toward his leg.
[21:55] * Charlie looks at Chako "Do you think *they* are here?"
[21:56] <Chamelaeon> <<Lisa tosses the papers behind her on the floor.>>
"I don't know, and personally, I don't care. You've got half an a hour
to get packed and get moving to Hangar A. Your suits have been repaired,
and they're back in your rooms." <<She eyes Charlie for a second.>>
[21:57] * Illyana eyes the woman. "For vhat?"
[21:58] * Chako shrugs at Charlie, then jumps up from the chair at the
orders.
[21:59] <Chamelaeon> "For relocation. This project's under my command,
for now, and the all-high Board of ATC has deemed we're moving to Red
Atlanta. Possibly so you have something to do other than watch drivel."
<<She kicks the TV, making it stop working.>>
[21:59] * Isis raises an eyebrow.
[21:59] <Tim> ( Hm. She must've been stuck here for a while, too. )
[22:00] * Charlie frowns at Lisa. "Right.. See you guys in 30."
[22:00] * Charlie leaves the room. Headed for his own.
[22:01] * Tim shrugs and wanders off to his room too.
[22:02] <Chamelaeon> <<Your rooms aren't too far apart. True to Lisa's
word, your exosuits are in. They've been cleaned, polished, and they
gleam brightly and shinily.>>
[22:02] * Isis goes to her room and checks her suit as scrupulously as
possible. It's really a shame when employer/employee trust breaks down.

[22:04] * Chako goes back to her room, and grins, saying, "Hey, lookin'
good." before packing up what little stuff she brought with her, getting
in the suit, etc, etc.
[22:04] <Chamelaeon> <<Your suits are in perfect condition. The
modifications made by the sleythin robots are still in effect, and in
fact, the hard-working ATC R&D team has supplied translators those of
you who opted out. Sticky-notes are left on the front of the suit to say
as much.>>

[22:08] * Charlie packs up. After removing the sticky note, he says to
himself, "I was gonna get me one of those," and suits up.

walls. The red one reads "Hangar A.">>
[22:09] * Chako fires up her sword, makes a few test motions, and sighs.
"Good to be back in a suit." Then she picks up her bag (looking quite
silly) and carries it to Hangar A.
[22:09] * Tim folows the red line, then. He leaves the sticky note on
for now. It goes well with the barcodes and sale stickers.
[22:10] * Charlie arrives in the hangar a few minutes early.
[22:10] * Illyana follows the line after getting into her suit. She's
not going to describe it any more than that because nobody's around to
see it anyhow.

[22:11] <Chamelaeon> <<On the way, you all manage to come more or less
together. About fifteen steps from a corner, the building is rocked by

[22:12] * Chako exclaims, "Why'd they have to wait until we're gonna
leave?"

[22:13] * Tim frowns. Again. "Least they could've done is waited until
we were gone."

[22:14] * Charlie would have gotten to the hangar a few minutes early if
not for the explosions.. "Hippies maybe?"
[22:15] <Tim> Maybe, yeah.
[22:15] * Isis hasn't stopped walking. "It is wisest to turn a
disadvantage into an advantage. Now is a chance to strike out on our
own, if we wish."
[22:16] <Chamelaeon> <<Another round of explosions sound, from several
parts of the building. They sound a bit closer.>>
[22:17] * Tim shrugs and keeps headed for the hangar, since there's not
a lot else he can do just at the moment.

[22:17] * Chako is still going too. "Yeah, but we still don't know where
to get what we need."

just collapse more of the place. That's freakin' huge."

Red Boston or just this facility under attack? Perhaps we can escape on
a civilian ship."
[23:07] <Chamelaeon> <<You hear some clanging as alarms finally start to
start up. Comms indicate vacuum doors are sealing to protect the
business sections.>>
[23:09] <Illyana> Now vould be a good time for a decision.
[23:09] * Chako mutters, "I got nothing. We're gonna have to go around
another way."
[23:09] * Tim frowns. (Is there another way?)
[23:10] <Chamelaeon> <<The arrows on the walls indicate two other
hangars, B and C. There might be another way to A, but you're not sure.
The server's not responding to queries.>>

came.>>
[23:11] * Chako starts running back the way they came. "Let's go!"
[23:11] * Isis suddenly gasps, dropping her sword to the ground with a
loud *clang*
[23:12] * Chako gets going about 10 feet, and skids to a halt. "Isis?
Problem?"
[23:13] * Isis sighs and picks up her sword. "I have to go do
something... I'm sorry. It's personal."
[23:14] * Tim takes off, skids, turns, starts to ask a question, stops,
and shrugs.
[23:15] <Charlie> I'll look ahead for a path to the hangar, if you don't
mind.
[23:15] * Illyana nods to the invisible man. "A good idea."
[23:15] * Chako frowns and says, "Go for it, Charlie," before turning
back to Isis. "Piss-poor time for it. Anything you want me to tell
Koez?"
[23:16] * Charlie sprints off at full speed toward hangar B.
[23:16] * Isis shakes her head. "It's my sister. She lives on Mars and
is in ATC's scholar headstart program. Since our parents died I've been
her guardian..."
[23:18] * Isis sighs and starts to follow the group. "There's nothing I
can do for her now. It just struck me out of the blue. Sorry."
[23:18] * Tim frowns.
[23:18] * Chako nods once. "Alright. Still with us, then?"
[23:19] * Charlie says over the radio "Can't seem to get from Hangar B
to Hanger A, but there's a ship here in B."
[23:19] <Chamelaeon> <<A couple more explosions, nothing near. Faint
sounds of gunfighting can be heard.>>

behind you, as several dozen Hippies close into the hangar. They're
proved to be fairly stupid as Wintergreen guns the engines and takes
off. Mmm, engine backwash cooking.>>

handle yourselves. At least against a bunch of Hippies."
[23:51] * Charlie hufs quietly.
[23:51] <Illyana> Yes. If you vere around for the Europa mission, as you
vere supposed to be, you vould haf seen that.
[23:52] * Chako has strapped herself in, and cracks her helmet. She's
still grinning (not that you knew in the first place.) "And more, if you
saw the suit data."

[23:53] <Chamelaeon> "And suit data doesn't mean much if you're fighting
things I don't know the capabilities of."
[23:53] <Chamelaeon> <<Wintergreen is having fun dodging the ship

here. There's nothing at Red Boston, except you and the SIG-ASP people
who left yesterday. But even Hippie Intel is slightly better than that,
and they don't know SIG-ASP exists anyways."

[23:58] * Tim is belted in, and removes his helmet. He seems to be
brooding about something.
[23:58] * Isis ride the big spaceship! Hurray!

the alien things used.

rear screens.>>
[00:04] * Isis puts a hand to her temple. "If you're so blasted superior to the
rest of us, Illyana, feel free to strike out on your own. I would be much
happier if you were gone."
[00:06] * Illyana raises an eyebrow to Isis. "I vasn't referring to you, though
I must say your tendancy to jump to conclusions is rather irksome."
[00:06] <Isis> Not half as irksome as your smug attitude.
[00:06] <Chamelaeon> <<Lisa frowns.>> "Stop that right now, before I have both
of you confined to the engine room."
[00:08] <Chamelaeon> "Shut up and get some sleep. We're going to have to work
quickly if the Hippies are on to us, and that means moving again as soon as we
hit Red Atlanta."
[00:09] * Chako stays leaned back. "Moving where?"
[00:10] <Chamelaeon> "From here on out, just about everything you do will be
classified until you actually do it. Until you prove you don't crack under
pressure." <<She eyes Isis and Illy.>>

[00:10] * Isis gives Lisa a look that clearly says "You can go jump in front of
a hoverbus". Not that she knows because of the helmet.
[00:10] * Chako mutters, "Wonderful." and closes her eyes, and her helmet around
her.
[00:11] * Charlie says "great" and attempts to get some sleep.
[00:12] * Illyana says nothing. She hasn't bothered to take her helmet off.
